Penang Hill train service finally resumesAfter lengthy delays, the Penang Hill funicular train service was finally reopened to the public on April 25.The 87-year-old funicular train service was shut down in February 2010 to make way for an RM73mil upgrade which was funded by the Tourism Ministry. The new, Swiss-designed air-conditioned trains ran for an Rm10 per person charity until April 30, proceeds of which will go to the underprivileged.
