The 2010 Penang Industrial Survey was conducted electronically from July 13 to August 31, 2010, and involved all the manufacturing factories, including multinational corporations (MNCs) and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) from both Penang Island and the Mainland. This endeavour was undertaken to update data collected from its predecessor, the 2007 Penang Industrial Survey.
