A visit to Nibong Tebal is never complete without dropping by Kampung Sungai Udang. This fishermen’s village is located at the end of Sungai Kerian towards the Straits of Malacca.
If fresh seafood – ranging from different types of fishes to prawns, cuttlefish and crabs – is on the menu, then this is the place to go. The best time to visit is from 10am to 12pm, when the fishermen return to the jetty with their catch of the day. Many seafood lovers will be waiting at the jetty with big smiles when the fishermen come chugging into the jetty.
