CHINESE FOLK RELIGIONS are diverse and rich, encompassing objects of worship ranging from forces of nature and historical figures to ghosts and spirits. As early Chinese travellers braved tempestuous seas in search of a better life, many turned to deities for solace and blessings for a smooth journey.
