Spotlight by Penang Art District returns with its fourth edition, offering young aspiring and emerging artists the opportunity to undergo a mentorship programme with an art professional and to showcase their body of works in a solo exhibition. This year, the programme encourages applicants to ponder on their growth during these challenging times and their hopes for the promising years of recovery ahead. Learn about the wonders of Teochew opera in the Teochew Opera Make-Up and Teochew Opera Body Movement virtual workshops organised by the Penang Youth Development Corporation. Participation is open to Penang youths aged 15-35 years.  Closing date for registration is August 10 for the Teochew Opera Make-Up workshop and August 15 for the Teochew Opera Body Movement workshop.

Make it a family event by joining the #Walk4Health Virtual Walk in celebration of Penang State Family Day 2021. Each participant is entitled to a t-shirt, towel, wristband, string bag, voucher, face mask, hand sanitiser and light refreshment. Participants who completed 50,000 steps will receive a digital certificate and are entitled to a lucky draw. The virtual event is a joint initiative by the Penang State Government and Penang Women's Development Corporation.
