CM urges Ibiden, Bosch investments be included in final December 2011 tally
Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng expressed his hope that investments made by technology companies Ibiden and Bosch Solar Energy will be included in the International Trade and Industry Ministry’s end-of-year figures. In May last year, the state government announced a target of RM6.1bil in foreign investments for 2011, and up to November 2011 has hit a target of RM6bil. “Penang hopes that the RM4bil high-tech and solar energy investments by Ibiden and Robert Bosch Solar will be included in last year’s investment figures, which will then put Penang’s investment at RM10bil,” Lim said in a statement.
