A DELEGATION FROM the Indonesian National Heritage Trust, made up of architects, planners, archaeologists, heritage property owners, government officers, academics and journalists, visited George Town recently to learn more about the city’s heritage management efforts.
The delegates were taken on a tour of the World Heritage Site (WHS), visiting sites that included Penaga Hotel, the Street of Harmony, Logan’s Memorial, the Islamic Museum, Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion and the Sun Yat Sen Penang Base. Tea was hosted by Penaga Hotel, and dinners by the George Town World Heritage Inc and the Indonesian Consulate.
