In this issue, the Statistics segment examines the number of legal firms and lawyers in Malaysia, the type of people who typically require legal assistance, such as refugees and evicted tenants, and the Control of Rent Act in Malaysia.
The table above shows the number of legal firms and lawyers in Malaysia by state. As of December 2013, the total number of legal firms and lawyers available in Malaysia is 6,640 and 15,690 respectively.
