The Economic Transformation Programme (ETP) was launched on September 21, 2010. It is meant to be a comprehensive plan to drive Malaysia's economy to meet the World Bank's threshold for high income nations by lifting Malaysia's Gross National Income (GNI) to RM1.7 trillion and raise per capita income from RM23,700 in 2009 to at least RM48,000, all by 2020. Malaysia can theoretically achieve the targets set if GNI grows by six per cent per annum.
After a year, the Performance Management and Delivery Unit (Pemandu) released its first year annual report.
