We have seen Malaysia’s political landscape changing drastically over the last five years. Has this had an effect on Malaysia’s governance in its worldwide standing? Statistics from Worldwide Governance Indicators, compiled by the World Bank, reveal much about Malaysia and its neighbours (statistics are measured in percentile rank). To tie in with the issue of federalism, statistics on US government tax collection and the Philippines’s polity score are also included in this segment. But first, a look at the Malaysian House Price Index.

The Malaysian House Price Index tracks the cost of property indexed against prices in the year 2000. This data is collated for each of the states in Malaysia and allows a comparison of house price inflation by state.
