In this year’s George Town Festival, a festival-withina-festival was held, thanks to a collaboration with the arts-promoting CausewayEXchange programme from Singapore.

George Town never rests. Well into its golden years, it would seem as if this quaint remnant of British Colonia is experiencing its second youth, albeit a more modern, vibrant and expressive phase.

It would be an exaggeration to say that the heritage city is a constant hive of activity. But take a stroll on any day of the week and you’ll discover some form of cultural, social or artistic scheme infiltrating the narrow streets and crumbling structures: quirky wall paintings, art installations, street performances and secret gardens.
