A realistic play such as Perfectly Matched is hard to come by. Directed by Wong Lay Chin and produced by the dynamic duo, Datuk Faridah Merican and Joe Hasham, Perfectly Matched is the story of troubled married couple Bee Hong and Lim Boon Leng, and is performed in Hokkien/Mandarin. After being married for so many years, Bee Hong finds out that her husband has had a string of affairs. Unsure of what to do, she contemplates suicide. Her husband, however, comes up with a brilliant idea – to turn their marriage into an open relationship. Encouraged by him, she starts to date other men and finds that she actually enjoys it.
