Not all marriages are made in heaven.
For nuptials between artists, some may well start on the canvas, or off it. But they are more likely to first meet in circumstances connected to art, rather than at a diamond exhibition or food outlet. Love for them often happens at first brushstroke!
Yet, having two artists in the house, what with the fable about their mercurial moods and temperament, is often deemed ill advised. Imagine two famished tigers on a night hunt. To poet Ezra Pound, artists are not the marrying kind: he famously said that artists should be barred from marrying at all.
