Malaysia’s creative content industry is estimated to be worth RM16bil, according to the Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC). “Platforms such as this (revenue streams from gaming, licensing and merchandising, and edutainment and mobile apps) will help support the creative content industry which already contributes about 1.6% to Malaysia’s gross domestic product (GDP),” said former CEO Badlisham Ghazali of MDeC during the Kre8tif!
