Loving Paris in the Winter

The City of Lights is the City of Art Exhibitions… at any time of year.

Winter is hardly the season of discontent as oft perceived – barren and calcified of major art-tivities because of the “wrathful nipping cold” – as the end 2015-early 2016 programme in Paris attests to.

Over Christmas and the New Year (2016), I found myself spoilt for choice in art museum visits, limited only by budget constraints because of increasing entry fees due to the falling Ringgit vis-a-vis the Euro.

I missed the much-ballyhooed Anselm Kiefer Retrospective (double-headed with a Wilfredo Lam show) at the Pompidou Centre, however, because of the frightfully long queue.
