Face it. You love complaining about Penang: about the way it is, the way it isn’t, about the good ol’ days and the future you envision. Tell us your stories about growing up, or how you wished you grew up, or maybe even how you foresee future generations growing up in this state we call home. Give us your perspectives as natives or newcomers, reveal the hidden gems and the sordid truths, revel in the secret layers that tourists can’t see in a week’s stay.

  • Languages accepted: English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Maximum word count: 5,000 words for prose / 60 lines for poetry
