Universiti Sains Malaysia’s School of the Arts is holding an annual Research Innovation Towards Integration and Sustainability (RINTIS) Arts Graduation Showcase by its final year students. Expect theatrical performances such as Dua Tiga Kucing Berlari and Mulan The Musical, as well as music performances and fine art exhibitions. Festival

Chow down on some of the best traditional treats available at Bagan Festival @ Butterworth Art Walk – Ramadan Bazaar. There will be loads of festive food and cultural performances aimed to bring the community closer to local arts and culture.

Music

Jammin’ Senzation’s 12th annual concert returns with an eclectic array of rock performances, from radio classics to soundtracks. Adding colour to the concert are an LED Tron dance performance and guest performances by the Penang Jazz Ensemble, led by Jerome Quah.


Charity

Contribute to the differently abled community (and your palate) at the Eden Handicap Service Centre’s annual Charity Food Fair. The fair aims to raise funds to benefit people with disabilities in the community, and features various stalls selling a variety of home-cooked food, hawker fare, treats from a host of different cuisines, souvenirs, handicraft and much more.


Run

Lace up your trainers because the Province Wellesley Run is back and will test your endurance. Get to know the other side of Penang by running through the charming Butterworth! Expect a finisher’s medal, T-shirt, goodie bags, an e-certificate, lucky draw and light refreshments. Register early to avoid disappointment.


Theatre

When another whale dies after eating too many plastic snacks, Mother Earth challenges a brilliant team of students to save the planet from plastic pollution. One Minute To Midnight is an eco-musical comedy written by Nancy Jenster, directed by Fa Abdul and choreographed by Aida Redza. Suitable for five-year-olds and above.
