Charity

Charis Hospice, a non-profit organisation that provides free palliative home care services for patients with cancer, will be organising its annual Hunt for Charity event comprising a motor and mall hunt. With the theme “Discover Historical Penang”, participants are required to answer trivia questions and hunt for the next clue. Participants can expect a T-shirt, goodie bags and light refreshment. Registration closing date is April 8, so hurry and sign up.

Get your lightsabers ready as the force is strong with this one! Officially endorsed by Lucasfilm, this live Broadway parody comedy One Man Star Wars Trilogy takes all Jedis, Siths and even Yoda(s) on an epic journey in a galaxy far, far away. Written and performed by Charles Ross (one of the geekiest Star Wars fans around, having watched the films for the 400th time), he promises to singlehandedly pilot your 75-minute space adventure through the original trilogy (A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and The Return of the Jedi).

Join Universiti Sains Malaysia’s Guardians of the Sea carnival to learn more about marine conservation. Expect exhibitions, talks and workshops by various NGOs as well as a special screening of Finding Dory – all stressing the importance of marine conservation. Admission is free.
